With a knife block, your knives get dusty, and you can't clean out the deep crevasses. With a magnetic strip, you have to worry about placement of the strip and whether children might have access to the knives, plus there is some debate on whether a magnetic strip is a good idea for knife storage.

This knife drawer holds all of my Komachi knives with room to spare. It fits nicely in my very narrow kitchen drawer - its measurements are 17 1/2" deep x 7 1/2" wide x 1 3/4" high - and is made of 100% bamboo.

Unlike some inferior knife drawers, your knives rest on bamboo, not on metal or felt. This knife drawer is part of the Masters Collection, which was created by Certified Master Chefs from the Culinary Institute of America. It is a beautiful, well-crafted piece that you will enjoy for years to come. It also has a lifetime warranty.
