(More customer reviews)We have already bought this twice for ourselves (lost the first one) and bought a couple as gifts. This Victorinox is very sharp and holds its edge for a long time. My wife swears by this knife and prefers this to using the 8" chefs knife we also own, I think largely because of how light it is. Its excellent for cutting all vegetables including squishy ones like tomatoes. We also use it for meat but not real heavy duty stuff. When cutting things like big melons, its hard to use (its too small).
As I said before, this knife is a staple in our kitchen, could not recommend this enough as an everyday knife or 'first' knife.
