(More customer reviews)I bought these knives to give them a try since I saw Guy Fieri (real name "Guy Ferry") on Food Network.
They are passable in overall quality, but definitely not more than $30.If you want knives of equal quality, go down to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and buy some Cuisinart German-style knives for this price or slightly better quality Calphalon German-style knives.
My mainstay knives are Shun Classic and some Wusthof knives.I should have saved my money and bought one of these.I also own a few Cuisinart knives that I use for rough jobs (cutting through bone, boning, etc.), so that the fine edges of the higher-end knives I own are preserved.
Save your money, live without the gimmicky handles, goofy blade shapes, and buy a decent German or Japanese knife.
