Since my first purchase, I've had kids.And the mess in the house has reached a whole new level.I take this planer out about three times a week - I use it to get dried oatmeal off the table, burned-on hamburger off the stove top, and (my personal favorite) Scotch tape off nearly every surface of the house.
The edges are sharp enough to work, but soft enough that they haven't damaged even the corners of my painted-metal stove. The handle is well-designed and comfortable even for extended periods of scraping. And because it's not actually cut-yourself sharp, I can even hand it over to the children to clean up their own messes.
