(More customer reviews)This knife resembles black titanium more than it resembles my ceramic paring knife of another brand.It has nice heft, and arrived sharp enough to shave.I like the look and feel of the rubber grip.Why not 5 stars? The shape.I'm no expert on Japanese kitchen blades, but I do own several inexpensive Santoku blades that I use a lot.This blade is narrower in relation to length and has less curvature of the cutting edge than the others.The description mentions finger clearance.There may be room to slip an index finger under the front of the grip, but otherwise the grip is almost as deep as the blade.That said, I have used it every day this week and may order others in the series.
