(More customer reviews)For years I have heard my husband's complaints about our cutlery."It's off balance, it falls off the plate, it falls out of my hand..."Kind of tongue-in-cheek, my sister and I were looking online for cutlery for the disabled (no, he isn't) and came across the 'Knork' cutlery.I ordered this set and now my husband won't use anything else.I have to say I like it too.It has a silky finish and a good weight.The fact that one utensil can serve for most meals is a bonus, but I especially like the way it looks.I can heartily recommend it!

(More customer reviews)Unlike the flatware set I purchased from Amazon, the serve set is from the Oneida company. I already had one set, but ordered an additional set because it never seemed like I had enough spoons to serve with at the table. My only issue was the fact that even though the picture showed to large serve spoons exactly the same and un-pierced, the item description says one of the is a pierced spoon but that is not the case, which is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5.Not a big deal really, but if you're ordering and expecting to get a pierced spoon in the set just know you will not.Great quality from Oneida as usual though.

Well I was a little dissappointed this morning after only three weeks that they are already spotting and rusting after only 3 weeks AND following the care instructions as best as I could. So in conclusion I am returning them this weekend for a refund because I am not serving any of my friends who come over for a casual get together with this flatware.

(More customer reviews)The Sand Dune series is one of the most elegant flatware services available. Easily found in many retail stores, its success is perhaps due to the sweeping line inside the form of the handles that makes gripping easy and graceful, and the heft that's actually provided.
The weight provides a good lever for cutting (for the knives) and stabbing with the fork. This is not a series so light and hollow that the utensils will fly from a hand, or cause you to press with wrist and hand so hard as to cause ache. The utensils seem to help you move through a meal.
They are lovely at an elegant table, but also at home with your everyday dinners. I've purchased two 8-place settings for myself, plus found the serving utenils at a local outlet mall. The large serving spoons and serving forks (great with carving) are very hard to find and many places will not have them in any open stock. If you ever see the serving utensils, grab them.
My mother-in-law from Australia liked Sand Dune so much when she visited, she asked me to take her to purchase her own sets. She bought enough for 8 places and took them back to Australia.
Sand Dune has been one of my best table purchases.

(More customer reviews)As a college student I don't care what my forks look like, I just needed more and I definitely got what I paid for.These look like they were directly cut from a large piece of sheet metal, however they still get the job done and it's not like they are cutting my mouth or anything.If you intend on serving guests with these forks I would advise you to pass.

(More customer reviews)I had the same two similar looking sets of flatware for the past 15 years or so that I bought when I first moved away from home. They were cheap and lightweight and I did not know anything better existed until a friend of ours began letting us use his home down in the Keys. He has Oneida flatware in the house and the two times we went I took notice of their weight, balance and sturdiness, not to mention they were attractive on the table. I finally decided to see what was the big deal about expensive flatware. I found out when they arrived. Mercer is not the top of the line for Oneida, but it's very well made and durable and very attractive. I like the part shiny part satin handle. They hold up well in the dishwasher so far. They take up more room in the drawer because they are much thicker than my old raggedy flatware. I love them and highly recommend this brand of flatware. Remember to wait for the best sale or clearance and use coupons!
