(More customer reviews)When I was browsing kitchen utensils and came across this specialty pancake turner I was immediately taken aback by the price. Still, I wanted a pancake turner, burger turner, grilled cheese sandwich turner, etc. and this utensil looked like it would fit the bill. Upon arrival, I immediately washed it in the dishwasher and I was pleased that all of the steel in it was indeed, stainless. Several uses since that time has yielded zero rust spots. The handle is of a quality wood and copper rivet construction(or copper-colored stainless rivets). My fiancee enjoys using this utensil to assist her when she stir fries vegetables. Although this utensil is a bit pricey, considering the amount of stainless steel that is in it, I will buy another one in 5-10 years when this one breaks. There are certainly utensils which are a much worse value than this one.

* Flexible blade does indeed slide under things.

* Useful size for eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches.

* Dishwasher-safe-ish.

Bad points:

* Handle is made of a plastic that melts at surprisingly low temperatures--the side of a frying pan even at moderately low heat.

* Handle is riveted to blade quite loosely--there is play when the handle flexes.It feels like something is shaking loose, even though this is functionally irrelevant.

* Blade is cheaply made--it is not smooth, but slightly pitted, at the business end.

(More customer reviews)I had about given up on finding a quality turner. All that's left in "kitchen" departments in stores are flappy silicone discs, and round plastic mini-sewer grates nailed to handles. You know the ones I mean. You couldn't get under an egg to save you with those.
The Lamson high-carbon stainless steel turners have a flexible but very strong blade. Tough enough for my kitchen-brute husband but fine enough to turn an omelette delicately. No rust, no crust, no more agitation!

(More customer reviews)The dealer was good and the item is what I exected. A good cheap stainless butcher knife. The tip gets a little thick because they didn't bevel it toward the front/tip, just from edge to the back of the blade. Other than that is seems to be about the same as much more expensive knives. It cuts well and is about the right size for an all around knife.

This and one small knife are about all you really need.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this after my son decided to hide my old standard spatula that I used all the time. This is a bit larger then I need for making breakfast but works great for my BBQ grill. I've seen these used aboard the different ships I've worked on over the years and noticed that they can take years of commerical grade daily use and still hold up (I've seen some ship original issue spatulas that are going on 15 years of daily use at this point!) Great to support an American made product and company. I would recommend a 3" x 6" for kitchen use.
