(More customer reviews)I made the mistake in ordering this board with the "Quickness" when I found it at such a good deal plus free shipping! And it didn't help that the web site stated there was only One Left! I could get it before Christmas. And that it matched my measurements exactly the way I wanted it to lay on my counter top. But...When a rectangle is measured it can be measured in different ways. So My LxW was 23.75" Long (Holding your arms open sideways)and x 17.25" (From edge of counter to back splash).
In Reality. The actual measurements of this Beautiful Board are:
17.25" Long (Holding your arms open sideways).
And 23.75" (From front of counter to back splash. Or one could say deep, or depth). But in this case it's LENGTH.
Anyway it will still fit, but it doesn't look as good as it could.
I will be removing the 2 Lips from the ends of the board and pick up some maple and cut a couple pieces 23.75" long, and attach them.
And the 2pcs that I removed, I will just make a 17.25" square board.
Remember that saying...."Measure Twice Cut Once" :)

(More customer reviews)This chefs knife has served as a replacement for my henckels for five years now. Five years of hard work in numerous high volume kitchens. The spine is smoothed over to prevent serious cooks calus, and since the bolster does not extend all the way down to the edge its easy to sharpen the whole length of the blade. No bowing, no grinding. Also the blade is ground at a steeper angle than most german knives resulting in a sharper (altough more fragile) edge. I find the balance perfect for me if youre looking for something more blade heavy try japanese style knives, more handle heavy get a Dick or a henckels cermax. Also stick with a fine cut steel for this knife.

This is my second pair of these scissors.The first pair was never returned after lending them to friends.They were missed very much in our household.They are very sharp and are very versatile around the home. Also work great in the garden for trimming Hosta and roses.
