(More customer reviews)I bought the Onion Goggles to keep my eyes from drying out excessively. I have Sjogren's Syndrome--the body attacks the saliva and tear producing glands. The dryness that this causes is painful--the eyes will even get stuck to the eyelids. Even though I put artificial tears in the eyes all day and night, it is still not enough. When the pain is too much, I put drops in the eyes and then I put on the Onion Goggles and I can go for hours without having to put in drops! I admit that I look like Snoopy the WW1 Flying Ace in them, but I don't care. And yes, they are fantastic not only for chopping onions, but for protecting the eyes from the fumes of cleaning fluids, wind, dust, and smoke.
