(More customer reviews)In my opinion, Rada Cutlery is a hidden gem among all the kitchenware that is available today.The knives and gadgets are well made and durable--I especially love this peeler for carrots and cucumbers and my serrated chopper makes short work of chopping a cup or more of nuts (and I do not have to drag out the food processor, etc.).

I have many Rada knives, also, and find them to remain sharp for a long time and to have a good "feel" in the hand.They are also made in USA!

(More customer reviews)This unit is incredibly sharp and does a great job, however, the flimsy plastic holder for the ceramic blade simply will not hold up and easily breaks, making the unit worthless after a few uses.I cannot condemn this product alone as every ceramic blade unit I have bought seems to be built this way.The online picture suggested it was built differently but on arrival I found it was not.

Ceramic blades are great, but they need to be better mounted.

(More customer reviews)I am consistently amazed at the high quality and low price of all the OXO kitchen products.Though I like heftier knives, this peeler is the best.The only caveat is that it takes a little getting used to the "direction of peel" - towards you, but once you do get used to it (a couple of carrots should suffice) you'll never go back to the classic at your mother's house.
