Rada Cutlery Deluxe Vegetable Peeler, Made in USA, Aluminum Handle (R141) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I owned a Rada in the past and lost it. Thinking all vegetable peelers were basically the same, I bought another brand, then another and then another, none of which worked as well as the Rada. Others remove far too much of the vegetable or are rough and dull and difficult to use. Well worth it!

Rada Cutlery Vegetable Peeler, Made in USA, Aluminum Handle (R132) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My mom and I bought this peeler from a little old lady at a flea market 11 years ago. Since then it has been the only peeler we've used. When I went away to college I tried to find one for myself and have been scouring flea markets for years trying to find the seller/product. I tried every other peeler from cheap grocery store ones to expensive department store specialty shops, without equal results. I'm very glad to see them available on Amazon. This peeler is just as sharp today as it was the first day we bought it. Peels were thin and smooth all around whether you cut an apple/potato/whatever. Can be used by both righty/lefties and is very lightweight and maneuverable. I love it so much I ended buying 10 more for family members. Highly recommended!

Rada Cutlery Regular Vegetable Peeler, Made in USA, Dishwasher Safe Black Handle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)In my opinion, Rada Cutlery is a hidden gem among all the kitchenware that is available today. The knives and gadgets are well made and durable--I especially love this peeler for carrots and cucumbers and my serrated chopper makes short work of chopping a cup or more of nuts (and I do not have to drag out the food processor, etc.).

I have many Rada knives, also, and find them to remain sharp for a long time and to have a good "feel" in the hand. They are also made in USA!

2 Pack Rada Cutlery Regular Vegetable Peeler, Made in USA, Aluminum Handle Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This is the very best vegetable peeler I've ever used, in four decades of cooking. It was given to me as a gift 10 years ago from a friend in the food-service industry, and it is still as sharp and effective as when it was new (I DON'T wash it in the dishwasher.) In fact, I so fell in love with this peeler, that when I replaced my old knives two years ago, I replaced them with Rada steak and preparation knives. They keep an edge like no other (JA Henckels doesn't compare), and when they do get dull, they sharpen up with just a few quick strokes. And they're WAY less expensive than their better-known competitors. And they're made in the USA.

I bought these to give as gifts after some friends came to my house to help with a large-quantity cooking event for our church, and was shocked at how easy to use, how well-balanced, and how SHARP this peeler is.

Slice Veggie Peeler, Designed by Karim Rashid, Ceramic Blade Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This peeler works great. Blade is very sharp and makes peeling fast and easy. Very safe to use. I thought the handle would be too cumbersome as I have small hands, but it's fine. I like the fact that it stands on a shelf so it won't get out of my site and get thrown in the compost like my previous one.
You can use either hand: the blade can be popped out and reversed for lefties (thank you T. Scimone for pointing this out to me).

Before you give up on peeling all together, try the Slice Veggie Peeler. The ultra-sharp, high-tech ceramic blade (yes, ceramic) will make a good impression on any self-respecting potato (or cabbage, carrot, or cucumber). Lightweight ceramics and ergonomic non-slip design mean plenty of energy left to peel tomatoes for gazpacho. Veggie Peeler's ceramic blade means it's light, clean, and fun to use. And if you loathe the taste of metal in your food, your prayers are answered. Veggie Peeler's ceramic blade leaves no after-taste or smell, won't brown food, and stays razor sharp long after other peelers with metal blades are history.
