(More customer reviews)I originally bought this to cut cheesecake in a non-stick springform pan. It surprised me at how well it cut the cheesecake slices - just like a traditional sharp knife but without damaging the non-stick surface.

So now I use it whenever I need to cut anything in ANY of my non-stick pans, cookie sheets, whatever. This knife is amazingly great and quite useful. No worries with cutting anything in a non-stick pan since it won't cut into the non-stick surface.

BTW, I haven't tried cutting lettuce with it.

(More customer reviews)My son really like helping me in the kitchen with these knives. They are blunt tipped and very safe. I am not worried about him cutting his fingers. Obviously they do not just as well as a regular knive, but are great second option. They do take a little getting use to as you need to saw more than just push down which is a little bit of a diffucult concept for a 4 almost 5 year old, but with some practice he will get it.
