(More customer reviews)This thing is great.I just received my chef pak and filled it up.IT really holds a lot of stuff and the knife case is so much better than my old one that the school gave me.Surprisingly not heavy when you wear it.Must be all the padding. I don't have a laptop but will be getting one soon and this can hold that too.Would recommend to any chef who carrys more than just knives.

(More customer reviews)I Own Shun Ken Onion knives that I could not make fit in the one bag that shun makes. Because of the angles of the handle and the angle of the blades, they would not fit in their spaces. I purchased this bag without the knives and I love it. It holds all of my knives in place and if I have one complaint, I wish it had more slots and that 1 slot was wider but other than its perfect. FYI. I bought it for less directly from costco.

All 3 compartments are accessible from one zipper, so you don't need 7 sq feet of space to open it all the way & find what you're looking for...the only downside of that is that you're hanging all your hopes on one zipper & if it fails you you're sunk! But it feels strong and secure. Everything from my old Koobi Kit (whose zippers DID fail me) fit neatly inside, so it's roomy....can't wait to get out there and break it in!

(More customer reviews)I wanted to get my wife a gift that would be both practical and have relevance.She is in culinery school and has a number of knives.She has recently discovered the joy of Global knives and it seemed appropriate to replace the case that came with the knives she got when she enrolled at school.

I was concerned that this would be a dull boring gift.I could not have been more wrong!She was delighted to receive it.But when she started moving her knives into the case the real value came through.The case is laid out beautifully and has tremendous capacity.She is able to store all her knives, kitchen uniform and cap, and even some class materials.

The inside and outside of the case are very austere and professional.It's made of quality materials and gives off a very professional appearance.We expect it will last well past the courses she's taking, which of course was the whole point of buying such a case.

If you have someone that has "Coach" handbag tastes, then this will surely make them happy if they have a set of kitchen knives to store and transport.

However, where it fails is its knife pockets. The pockets are way too small and close together. Keeping the knives bunched up. Overall its fine, but not worth the high cost.
